Everything is included: furnished, all utilities (electricity up to $250/month, and anything above that is paid by the tenant), 400 Mbps wifi, Netflix, driveway plowing, firewood, and a private washer and dryer. Just bring your linens and towels and you're all set Your private, small yet cozy 1-bedroom/1-bathroom cabin gives you your own peaceful space with all the comforts you need. The owner's cabin is about 50 feet away if you ever need anything, and each space has been designed with privacy in mind. Enjoy quiet mornings, dark night skies, a stone fire pit, and true nature immersion, while still being close to Bridgton (20 minutes), Windham (15 minutes), Sebago Lake, Pleasant Mountain skiing, and Portland (about 45 minutes). Whether you're here for a work assignment, a manuscript, or just craving quiet and space, this is a rare chance to live surrounded by nature without sacrificing convenience. What's in the cabin: The kitchen is fully stocked with basic cooking utensils, and all the plates, glasses, and silverware are yours to use. If you'd rather bring your own, everything can be removed easily. The oven is electric (Bosch) and the cooktop runs on propane, connected to a 20 lb tank that I fill for you before you arrive. After that, refilling or swapping it when it's empty is your responsibility. Depending on how much you cook, a tank usually lasts 2 to 5 months, and I'm happy to help with the first swap if you've never done it. There's also a coffee grinder and a French press if you wish Linens and towels are not included. The cabin has TV with Netflix and a detached utility room with a washer and dryer, free and exclusively for your own use. Heating: The cabin has an electric heat pump and a wood stove. The heat pump works well most of the time, but on really cold days it loses efficiency and the wood stove will be necessary. A shed next to the cabin will be stocked with wood for you. Electricity is included up to $250 per month. If your usage goes above that, you pay the difference, so on the coldest days the free wood is your best friend Snow and trash: Driveway plowing is included. You are in charge of shoveling the stairs and pathways to the cabin (a hand shovel is provided). You are also only in charge of your own trash. You can hire a service, or we can find an arrangement. I usually drive it to the dump myself (it's free and only 8 minutes away). Good to know: Rent is $1,900/month, with a $1,900 security deposit Please leave the cabin as clean as you found it.
