The surrounding area is Forest Heights community with thousands of luxury homes (called the backyard of Nike and Intel). *** Location, Location and Location! This is probably the best area in Forest Heights: on top of the hill, flat community, quite and safe, convenient to either side (12 minutes to downtown Portland and Beaverton, and 15 minutes to Hillsboro). We have the best public school system: Forest Park Elementary School (10/10) is 3 minutes away, West Sylvan Middle School (10/10) is 12 minutes away, and Lincoln High School (9/10) is 15 minutes away, school buses (for three schools) stop in front of the Ridgetop entrance (45 seconds walking distance from the door). Three highly recommended private schools are nearby: Catlin Gabel is 8 minutes away, the French American International School is 5 minutes away, and the Montessori School of Beaverton is 6 minutes away. There are endless trails in walking distance including the world-class Forest Park Wildwood Trail and NW Leif Erickson Dr. The exact neighborhood Cresap Ln community is the 2010 "Street of Dreams" subdivision. *** Again, LOCATION, LOCATION and LOCATION! The problem living in forest heights in winter time is the snow and ice. If your house is on a slope (more than 95% of the houses in forest heights are), there is no way for you to get to anywhere safely on an icy day (on average, 4-6 days a year, although we had about 10 days this year). However, our house is on top of West Hills in a flat community, even on an icy or a snowy day in winter time, you can easily get out via Skyline Blvd (flat) and Cornell Rd (relatively flat) to either Portland Downtown or Beaverton or Hillsboro. *** This house is GORGEOUS! It was initially built with modern design and the highest quality in 2002 by a builder for his own family. They lived here for 5 years. The second owners were a vice president of EarthLink and a national race car champion. We bought this home in 2009, we have enjoyed so much living here, however, one of our kids just went to college, and we are considering downsizing.
