    What's special

Off grid cabin with access to BLM and National Forest for sale in Mesa, Co. Cozy and quaint 480 square foot cabin on 35+ acres with amazing 360 degree views. Remote and private with all sorts of wildlife. Terrific hunting area in GMU 421. Enjoy peace and solitude on the back deck or cozy up to the wood stove on those cooler Colorado evenings. All furniture is included and owner financing is available. The perfect location to get away from everthing and just enjoy nature, peace and quiet. Enjoy all the recreation Colorado has to offer such as fishing, hunting, biking, hiking, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, camping, skiing, etc right out your front door. Cabin is behind a locked gate so call for more info or to schedule a showing. The cabin is marked by an x directly south of Molina and a little below the National Forest. There is deeded access to the National Forest and the BLM on roads that pass through other private parcels.  Most of the BLM area is landlocked by private property, so it is nice to have access to it by the deeded roads.  You will also see a pdf file with several pictures.  The cabin was built on a small hill, so there are views from every direction.  On the east is a small valley where a lot of the deer and elk pass through.  On the second day of the hunting season a lot of animals come through seeking to get away from the hunters on the public lands in the national forest.  On the south there is a view of the north rim of the Grand Mesa.  On the east you can see Chalk  Mountain, which is west of the town of Mesa.  On the north you can see the Jerry  Creek reservoirs, the Battlements, and the land around Collbran.  On the south are views of the Grand Mesa.  The views are so spectacular and they seem to put life in a whole different perspective.  The world is big and we are just a small part of it.  The cabin is two stories.  The first floor is one open room 16 X 20 lined with cedar.  The living room and kitchen are on the first floor.  There is a large picture window (4X8)  that overlooks the valley where the deer are.  We have a propane range, a wood stove, and a generator.  The south end of the cabin would be easy to add an addition to, if you wanted more space.  The second floor is 10 X 20 and is used for sleeping.  We have a full size bed, a twin bed, and bunk beds up there.   The cabin has a new metal roof that we had put on in October of 2009. The hunting has been good at the cabin.  We have taken several deer in the small canyon that I talked about above. There are several roads around the cabin, both public and private, that give good access to hundreds of acres of land to hunt.  There are also lots of places to walk.  It is beautiful up in the national forest, lots of aspens, pines, animals, and a small reservoir (Crum  Lake). There is one road that gives access to the South side canal and you can go a long ways to the west on ATV's or with a vehicle.  There is another road about in the middle of the 35 acre ranch parcels going west into the BLM, a side road from this road goes into the national forest.  The access through the ranch parcels is on the deed with the property.  We have hunted, hiked, road ATV's, gone sledding, snowmobiling, biking, played in the creek, picked chokecherries and just relaxed at the cabin.  It is quiet and usually feels like you own the whole 1100 acres instead of just the 35 acres with the cabin.  Sometimes we never see another person.  The other owners we have met have been very pleasant. We are willing to do owner carry on the loan for persons with approved credit.   Grand Mesa National Forest World's Largest Flattop Mountain Rising more than 10,000 feet above sea level, this majestic area boasts over 300 lakes, lots of wildlife, national forests, geological features, miles of hiking trails, fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking, canoeing, camping, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. Nearby Powderhorn Mountain Resort offers snowboarding and ski slopes for all ages and skill levels, time-share units, and condominiums.
