Cabin for sale!! Near electric lake
After much consideration we have decided to let someone else enjoy our little piece of the mountain. This historic landmark ( built sometime around 1975) is a perfect place for a weekend getaway or that once-in-a- lifetime bull elk hunting trip.
My family has owned this cabin since the late 1900's (1989/1990ish). If the walls could talk, the fish stories they could tell. My wife and I purchased this about 5 years ago after my grandpa passed away. Since then, we have done some much needed improvements.
We upgraded the existing water retention tank, it now has a staggering 550 gallon self refilling (spring fed) water tank.
We added a propane on demand water heater.
We removed the little legs it was "standing on", and replaced it with a concrete filled block wall and 2x6 framed support. Ultimately creating an awesome man cave, hahaha... or maybe just a good size storage area.
Just finished a new party deck
The throne room, a.k.a. the place where men go to play on their phones and avoid their children, has been updated with a full bath, modern toilet, and new linoleum flooring.
The main living area has had the floor recently replaced.
It has a vintage coal/ wood burning stove that just sets the ambience for this rustic retreat.
It also has a thermostatically controlled gas fireplace powered by a 500 gallon propane tank. With the sell, I'll be including (3) 250 gallon propane tanks. That's 1250 gallons of clean burning propane. You could install that propane hot tub for you and the misses, just don't let your wife find out. ??
Full disclosure for my mountain family, the things that are aging that will want to be addressed.
The windows. While still functioning, these blast from the past single pane, non insulated, classics, are in need of replacing.
The siding. Much like a top shelf bourbon, is showing it's age
All joking aside, it's a little bittersweet to be selling. I've been coming up to the cabin area for almost 40 years. We've decided to let someone else make memories that will last a lifetime.
The cabin, lot 95E Gooseberry Canyon Estates, Sanpete County, is roughly 1350sq ft including the basement area. I sit on one acre of quakie inhabited Mountainside. At roughly 9200' the views are awesome.
No year around access. Snowmobile in. The HOA dues are $325/ year to help maintain the roads.
It's for sale by owner.
I'm asking $299,999
Email me with any questions and I'll get back to you as soon as possible
Thanks
What the owner loves about this home
I love that you are only 10 minutes to Electric lake, 20 minutes to Scofield Reservoir and a short distance to other nearby ponds and reservoirs. This place is a great reserved camping spot for the holiday weekends along with every other weekend that you are available to get away.
