Built in 1995, the 480-square-foot camp boasts steel I-beam floor joists and is fully insulated, including spray foam insulation underneath. Inside, natural pine adorns the walls, while galvanized steel ceilings add an industrial feel to the open kitchen, dining, and living area. In the kitchen, cast iron pipes support open shelving, the propane fridge keeps food and beverages fresh and cool, and you can cook up some tasty camp meals on the four-burner apartment-size gas stove. Upstairs, the bedroom is furnished with 2 platform beds. Heat for the camp is provided by 2 propane wall units, 1 on each level, with a glass-front woodstove as backup. A solar panel powers the battery for lights, and the camp is wired for a generator. Once you heat up water on the stove, head over to the shower shack, where you can enjoy a 10-minute shower and take care of other business. After a day of fishing, hiking up nearby Brosseau Mountain, or just exploring, you’ll want to kick back on the covered front porch. Set on 1.12 acres, the camp is surrounded by nature, and as part of the Averill Recreational Camp Owners Association, you’ll have access to a private sandy beach on 422-acre Great Averill Pond, as well as 200 acres of common land. Sledheads will love having VAST trail access close by. Being sold furnished, just bring your gear, your boots, and a sense of adventure.
