Hi! My boyfriend and I will be traveling this winter/spring & we're looking to sublet our entire 2bed/1ba apartment in Hyde Park, Chicago. LOCATION: Multiple bus routes, Metra, and UChicago shuttles within a 5-minute walk. Grocery stores are within a 10 minute walk. Access to the lake is just a few blocks over. I'll share the exact address after the screening process. AMENITIES: Dishwasher, in-building laundry, entirely furnished with two queen-sized beds, full-kitchen, microwave, TV. FURNISHING: Our apartment is fully furnished. See photos for furniture. Closets and pantry will be emptied out for you. Note that the living room image has been edited to remove a freestanding bike rack and lightly decluttered. Other images have not been edited. The start date is January 2027 and end date is by June 30, 2027. Specific dates are negotiable. HOUSE RULES: No pets (service/assistance animals handled per law), no smoking inside the building. Per our lease, people not listed on the sublease cannot stay in the apartment for 14 days total without our prior written permission from the property management company. The total number of individuals in the apartment, including subtenants, cannot exceed 10. ELIGIBILITY: My property management company has already approved subletting in principle and the final subtenant must pass their screening. They will run a background and credit check, and I'll also ask for references and such. PAYMENTS: There is NO application or sublet fees. Security deposit of $3,360 and first month's rent of $2,240, for a total of $5,600, as prepayment. This is due only after you've viewed the unit (in-person or live video), signed the sublease, and received property management's approval. I will personally hold on to the deposit and return it after move-out, minus any damages.
