In short, we are downsizing temporarily and would like someone to live in & care for our home while we are away. The home could be left partially furnished. The rental period is one to two years, but can be flexible. About the house: Three story Victorian . Two blocks from the Bryn Mawr stop on the red line & a 10 minute walk to both the beach and the shops on Clark Street. The neighborhood is quiet, close knit, and very friendly & safe. Lots of kids, and long time residents here. Bedrooms: one large main bedroom, with dressing room attached; smaller bedroom down the hall; and bedroom/office space at the end of the hall. The third floor has new carpeting and would be a very cozy fourth bedroom. Bathrooms: one powder room on the first floor; one full bath w/shower & tub on the second floor. Unfinished basement where washer/dryer, furnace, and such are located; exit to backyard from basement door. Yard: cute porch exits from kitchen at the rear of the house onto garden. In the garden there's a pear tree, sour cherry tree, an elderberry bush, and various other sapling fruit trees. the yard is tilled for veggie garden. the yard is grass & a perfect play/picnic/fire-pit area. Gas grill, trampoline, fire pit yard tools and such will stay. The big front porch has a swing & wicker chairs Lease term is at least 6 months, and up to two years. Ideally will rent partially furnished [including beds, dining room set, piano, living room set, bookshelves, desks]. Furnishings can also go in storage as needed.
