    This is a secluded 80 acres, about 5 miles off of Co Rd 426. 1000s of acre of commercial forest on 3 sides. 4/5ths of a mile to the Ford River which is a Type 4 stream and allows trout fishing year around and reportedly gets steelhead all the way up here from Lake Michigan. The east and south property line is ORV Trail 33 (mixed use.) The property has been heavily logged. You can break it in to quarters. The far east quarter appears to have been clear cut in 2 stages several years apart. Maple and poplar are growing back pretty quickly. The east central portion is untouched cedar and hemlock and is pretty thick. This unbroken dense lowland forest extends for miles and miles across several parcels as the commercial forest that adjoins this also left it untouched. It appears the hills surrounding the area drain through this lowland. No standing water but moist and spongy. The north half of the west half seems to have been about 50% cut and is growing back with mostly maples. Many mid-growth maples remain. The south half of the west half is a hill shooting up 100ft above the low ground. This also appears to have been 50% cut with about 50/50 mid age maple/beech left and both growing back pretty thick. All the logged areas have extensive berry growth. Raspberry or Blackberry. This could be a great bear/grouse property. I spooked several deer while walking the property. Especially on the slope of the hill. This is in the Ford River Wintering Complex which opens up potential grant money for property improvements. Land contract offers will be considered.
