I'm the owner, and having lived in this very space for over a decade before moving upstairs, I've poured a lot of love into making it inviting, functional, and super comfortable. It's a unique spot a 1940s Mid-Century Modern ranch house with a cool contemporary addition above. Inside, you'll find original oak floors, plaster walls, and lots of thoughtful upgrades. You're in a fantastic, walkable residential area with urban amenities close by. The Richmond neighborhood offers a great mix of quiet residential streets and easy access to the vibrant Division/Hawthorne food scenes. Two major bus lines are just a 5-minute walk away, and a large park is less than 10 minutes on foot. We're surrounded by great restaurants (happy to share recommendations!), and street parking on our block is typically easy to find. The Heart of the Home: Kitchen I love to cook (used to be a chef!), so the kitchen is designed with care. You'll find: * Custom white concrete countertops with brass inlays * Beautiful Heath tile backsplash * Top-notch induction range and convection oven * Quiet, efficient dishwasher (no pre-rinsing needed!) * Filtered water tap * High-end Breville espresso machine (happy to give a quick lesson!) * Soft-close cabinets, matched-grain plywood faces, and thoughtful details. Need a special pan or cookbook? Just ask I'm usually right upstairs! Relax and Unwind: Living & Dining: Kick back in the spacious living area on the comfy sectional or check out the cool MCM loveseat and chair. There's a decorative fireplace (looks pretty, but not functional) next to the back door leading to your private, seasonally-enclosed deck. The open layout flows into the dining room with built-in bookshelves. Near the hallway, there's an indoor bike rack for two bikes. Comfortable Sleep & Work: * Primary Bedroom: Features a lovely Thuma bed frame with a king-sized Tempurpedic mattress and natural fiber linens. You'll find dressers and a huge closet. * Second Bedroom/Office: A flexible room with a comfortable American Leather queen-sized sleeper sofa, a motorized sit/stand desk, and an LG OLED Smart TV with 5.1 surround sound. A walk-in closet offers extra storage. *(Need space for a 5th guest occasionally? The living room sofa or an air mattress could work, just let me know.)* Spa-Like Bathroom: Bright black-and-white tile, a pedestal sink, and plenty of built-in storage. The original cast iron tub has updated tile and glass doors, precise shower temperature/volume controls, and a Toto Washlet bidet seat (heated!). Your Outdoor Oasis: Deck & Urban Farm: Step out onto your private back deck seasonally enclosed, with string lights and seating. Beyond that lies the shared backyard urban food forest! It's about 5,000 square feet packed with fruit trees, veggies, berries, herbs, and flowers year-round. Feel free to harvest goodies (everything is organic!) or just enjoy the green space. There's also a shared patio area with more string lights and a charcoal Weber grill I can show you how to use. The backyard is fully fenced and gated. Tech & Convenience: * WiFi: Secure 1Gbps fiber internet (your own virtual network), Ethernet jacks, strong Wi-Fi. * Laundry: Stacked washer and dryer in a hallway closet. * Smart Home: Many smart dimmers and features (can explain or disable). * EV Charging: We have a Level 2 EV charger (CCS type) available for your use; we just ask for reimbursement for the electricity cost. Guest Access: The entire first-floor apartment and back deck are yours. The backyard, patio, and grill area are shared with the other 3 units on the property (though rarely used by others). I might occasionally need brief access to the deck area for seasonal storage, always coordinated with you first.
