Tabor Park and within walking distance of dozens of great bars, restaurants, and shops along Division and Hawthorne. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and centrally located. The apartment is the lower level of a home with its own completely separate entrance, functioning as a private, standalone unit with no shared living space. It features brand-new carpeting, fresh paint, and a washer and dryer (laundry is shared with upstairs tenant). The unit is partially subterranean, so it is not fully above ground, but it has large windows and gets a good amount of natural outdoor light. Please keep this in mind when considering the space. The upstairs tenant (myself) is an outdoor and travel enthusiast in my early 40's who works in the arts nonprofit sector. I love live music and exploring Portland's food, art, and nature, and is often out of town. I do my best to be respectful and mindful of the tenant below when it comes to shoes and noise, and also am often out of town. Outside, you'll have access to a large, private, gated backyard with a BBQ, outdoor table, and hammock. There is also a long off-street driveway, bike shed, and plenty of additional storage space. Yard maintenance is included. You will pay 1/3 utilities of internet, electricity, and heat. Water, garbage and internet is included! Well-trained pets are welcome, depending on the situation. About you - Please note the apartment is intended for SINGLE OCCUPANCY, so please do not apply if you are looking for a space for multiple people. If it is a rare case in which there are only 2 people there for a portion of the week but typically just 1 person lives in the space, that can be discussed, but it is preferred to have 1 full time tenant. Looking for a respectful, mature and kind tenant to move into the space. This is not a great house for someone that brings the party home regularly, but of course having guests from time to time and enjoying socializing is just fine. It would be an added perk to enjoy the occasional BBQ or dinner together as a complex, but that is not expected.
