Your own 4 walls in a teeny tiny cottage! Fully furnished with bedding, towels, and kitchen supplies. On a residential cul-de-sac that's a 5 to 10 minute walk to grocery stores, restaurants, Black Rock Coffee, LA Fitness, CORE food cart pod, Cinemark Cinema, Lents Park, and MAX.
This tiny cottage has a 10' x 12' footprint plus a 6' x 7' storage loft. The bed is a twin, 39" wide by 75" long. The doorway to the bathroom is 72" tall. (If you are taller than this, this cottage will likely feel small for you.)
Kitchenette includes undercounter fridge/freezer, microwave, induction cooktop, sink, and dishes/utensils. Bathroom includes a 32"x32" shower, flush toilet, and a tiny handwashing sink.
The counter-height dining table folds down, and one of the stools folds flat, providing space for yoga or stretching.
Abundant storage in the overhead loft, under-bed drawers, dresser, clothes-hanging rods (below loft), and bathroom shelves.
There is a big 8 year-old dog that lives in the main house and spends a lot of time in the yard on warm days. He's quite social and will probably want to say hi to you when go outside. He's got good boundaries in general, and also, you'll like it here more if you like dogs.
Absolutely no smoking of any kind including cannabis is allowed anywhere on the premises, including the yards or porch. I will extend the same courtesy to you as your neighbor and yard-mate.
I may be open to some form of partial rent barter if you have skills to share, e.g. lawn mowing, organization, etc. but this is not a requirement in any way.
I (Dani), the owner, live in the main house with Bodie, the big dog. I am quiet, non-smoking, and GenX. Friendly exchanges in passing are great, though I generally provide privacy if that's what folks prefer.
The stacked washer/dryer is in the garage, which is accessed from a door off the back patio. Simply walk across the covered patio to get to it.
The rent pricing method (first 5 weeks higher than subsequent weeks) is designed to incentivize longer stays and offset vacancy for shorter stays. But if you want to only stay 5 weeks, that's fine too.
Thanks for reading.
Week to week agreement, 5 week minimum.
Rent is paid using ACH deposit on a week to week basis.
Average weekly rent is $297 over the course of one year.
Utilities are $24/week and include electricity, water, sewer, garbage, recycling, WiFi, and laundry. Utilities are in addition to weekly rent.
First 5 weeks: $560/week
Subsequent weeks: $269/week
(This is to incentivize longer stays and offset vacancy for shorter stays.)
Absolutely no smoking of any kind (including cannabis) anywhere on the premises including the porch and yard.
One well-behaved dog that gets along well with other dogs is OK, subject to an in-person temperament test with the dog. NO EXTRA PET RENT.
Unless you want to garden, there are no landscape maintenance responsibilities, but we will share getting the trash/recycling/compost bins to the curb each week.
Please email for rental criteria.
Application: I do require an application and screening, but the screening fee is paid directly to the screening company once your completed app is first in line. The application itself is free.
