    Level, semi-wooded, tract with scenic large trees and open spaces: great place for a county home. Only 3.4 miles from Longview Loop, in Hallsville ISD. Very level and well-drained terrain. All usable land. Medium to large native trees has been selectively thinned, leaving some wooded groves and some grassy, cleared spaces. Can combine with adjoining 10-acre tract, if desired. Property is under no surface leases at this time. This 10 acres is part of a larger tract. Owner used a mapping program on a GPS to lay out this tract. A Survey will be needed to legally divide the property. The east boundary is marked with a line of white fiberglass rods, which are approximate and will change slightly with a Survey. Owner has also tried to mark the 10 acres by mowing it at different times than the adjoining property. Wire fencing on 3 sides. Selectively thinned trees and pasture grass. Per Harrison County Appraisal District website, the real estate taxes as of 2020 were approximately $1.46 per acre based on agricultural exemption. Changing the use of the land (such as from ag to homesite) would appreciably change the tax rate. Taxing entities are: Harrison County, Hallsville ISD, ESD#1.
