This is a home we bought many years ago when we had no money. It was just a block from our own home. It was an intriguing house in the Bryant neighborhood that we had found so charming. So we slowly and lovingly restored it. The joke was if we got divorced we could pass the kids off on 62nd st. Forty years later still married. Kids all grown up, married with their own kids. Our daughter and her family live in the house May-August to escape Texan heat and to be close to Seattle family. But from September through May we love to share our loved home. We are looking for an individual, couple or family to enjoy and take care of it as if it was their own. The house will comfortably accommodate a family of 4. The house sits at the top of the hill in a quiet peaceful family neighborhood. The kind of neighborhood where kids still play outside, and people take pride in their gardens and homes, they watch out for their neighbors, walk their dogs and chat with each other. The house is fully furnished. It is perfect for families traveling to Seattle, undergoing a home renovation, here for work (corporate housing) or on a sabbatical. The house is bright even on a gray Seattle day. It really has great light. The house is clean, quiet and comfortable with a fenced yard, territorial views from the back deck and garden. Hardwood floors and leaded windows, a dutch door off the kitchen. The main floor has a large living room with dining table at the view end of the room, a study with a Lg OLED, a brand new kitchen with custom wood cabinets and all new appliances fully stocked for a cook and a little powder room. Upstairs is the larger bedroom with queen bed a seating area and desk. The bathroom is next and a smaller bedroom with a full bed and a twin bunk above. The bedrooms have air conditioning. Both rooms have blackout curtains. The heat is a soft lovely heat from radiators completely updated. A nest control on main floor and a separate thermostat upstairs. The basement is un-renovated but has a laundry, toilet and work room, extra fridge for beverages and a beautiful custom wood door leading outside. I couldn't do the fiberglass door knowing in time the basement will also be remodeled. This house is our little art project in progress. we only want to make it better. Outside the house you have a trellis and seating area in the front with table and rose garden. In the back you have a fenced yard with deck and wicker chairs, wood table, sun umbrellas Just relax and take advantage of views of Olympics, south to lake and UW stadium as the hill falls away. There is also a little metal bistro table and chairs in the lower garden. Right now we have tomatoes and basil in the garden. The raspberries have past. Ron does the gardening. It is his passion. For those who grill there is a barbecue. Within walking distance of cafes, parks, u-village etc. Lastly we only live a block away if there are any questions or issues during your stay. Bedrooms 2 Bathrooms 1 Our home is available now until May 31st 2025 rented fully furnished by the month. We are looking for an individual, couple or family to take care of the house as if it were their own. Our home is not available from June 1st, 2025 through August 10th 2025 as it is occupied in the summer. internet is included in rent. Utilities; electricity, gas, water and sewer are responsibility of tenant. Bills will be paid by landlord to be reimbursed by tenant upon presentation of utility bills. A cleaning service is not included but could be negotiated. Smoking is NOT ALLOWED. Ask about bringing pets. A pet fee and deposit is additional. Off street parking in driveway. A gardener is included to take care of garden. We would just like someone to love and enjoy the house as much as we do.
