There is an induction stove top, refrigerator, heat pump, soaking bath tub, on demand hot water heater, composting toilet, and energy efficient lights. This is all run by an off grid battery set up powered mostly by solar panels with generator back up when needed. The main heat is a rocket mass heater (the large custom built brick wood fired stove in the pictures). It keeps the cabin cozy with two short fires a day in it. I will explain on the tour. No monthly energy bill! Just gas for the generator, this was about 10 gallons per winter month last winter. Flat utility fee of $125 covers all utilities except generator fuel. No smoking or vaping of any kind in or around the cabin. Property is shared with landlord and other tenants. No firing of weapons on property.
