You're also just a few minutes' walk from Rock Creek Park and the National Zoo, which is one of the best things about the location. You get incredibly easy access to trails and greenery while still being right in the middle of the city. The apartment occupies the top two floors of a three-story DC home. Importantly, neither floor is underground. Downstairs is the kitchen and a large living/dining room with a projector and enormous screen. Upstairs are the bedroom, bathroom, and a genuinely huge office/guest room. I've listed it as two bedrooms; the second bedroom is currently set up as the office. The apartment itself is minimalist and modern, but the rare minimalist modern that is actually warm and pretty rather than sterile. There are also a ridiculous number of grocery options nearby, ranging from a normal big-chain supermarket, to the requisite overpriced organic market, to small local Latino groceries.
