We are currently looking to fill the in-law suite/ basement space in our shared house. This basement space is not shared. (The shared laundry is on the other side of one of the doors to your space.)
Our house is located in 16th Street Heights (near Petworth) with easy walking access to 16th, 14th and Georgia Ave NW. More than 15 minutes walking from metro, but lots of buses. Only about a 10 minute drive to Howard.
Looking to fill by March 1 (available now and we can prorate).
Five people total in house
Four live upstairs
Shared spaces: Porch, backyard and garden, laundry room (depending on preference: full kitchen, living and dining room)
Free street parking out front
Basement space includes:
Interior and separate entrances
Two bedrooms with closets,
Some additional storage in storage closet
Full bathroom
Kitchenette area with these amenities: sink with garbage disposal, countertop, cabinets, full size fridge, exhaust fan (The previous housemate did all his cooking with an air fryer in the space, but you can share the upstairs kitchen stove/ oven if you'd like.)

While there is separate entry, there is cooperation needed from everyone as some spaces are shared.

Housemate details
Upstairs folks are mid-20s - 40. We are pretty chill, friendly and easy to get along with. Individually and collectively, we enjoy the arts (making, seeing, playing!), video games, gardening and farming, exploring and trying new places in the city.
