Austin was born and raised in San Diego. He grew up with a passion for sports which would later earn him a scholarship to play baseball, in his hometown, at the University of San Diego. It was at USD where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business and was also drafted by the Detroit Tigers to pursue his dream for six seasons.
