Originally from New Hampshire, Barbara moved to Virginia in the 80s. She was trained in the field of dentistry, where she worked as a Certified Dental Assistant for 9 years. It was there that she met and later married her husband of 18 years. They lived in Alexandria for several years and later moved to the Burke area.
