Bob was hands down the best inspector I have dealt with so far. He was thorough that he caught a few things I had missed, and had the tools and knowledge to catch an major item I couldn't. I have worked with many home inspectors and you get what you pay for, in reading other reviews his prices pay dividends from the cheap and quick inspection. As a mechanical engineer in the MEP field, I can say he went above and and beyond our expectations. He took his time and came fully prepared to investigate all discrepancies. The couple hundred dollars more for his services, is going to save me thousands if not tens of thousands in hidden costs to make repairs. So to save a hundred or two max by using another inspector that is in and out in a couple of hours.....think again. Bob was onsite for over 4 hours, and I can only imagine the time it took to write up the report. If you want an accurate assessment of a property you are buying or selling, then Bob Aldi is your guy. The money saved far outweighs the cost of his services. You are not saving anything by going with the cheap alternative.

We contacted Bob to do a home inspection on a Friday afternoon. We were trying to meet the seller's guidelines of having a home inspection done within 2 weeks as they were anxious to move across the country. Bob was open to do a Monday morning inspection, which worked out great for us! He explained everything in detail over the phone of his process and gave me a quote based on the size and age of the home (130 yr old Victorian). I felt this was a fair price for everything he was promising to inspect and with his sophisticated equipment. He did forewarn us that inspect would take at least 4 hrs, which we were fine with, because we wanted to know everything about this old home we were about to purchase. Overall we felt the entire inspection process was VERY thorough and Bob explained each process as he performed it, as well as point out all of his concerns. He went above and beyond with crawling in tight attic spaces, and using ladders in the garage loft to make sure he checked every little corner out. The inspection cost was absolutely worth it for the time and effort Bob put into our inspection. We received an extremely detailed report with several hundred photos and full explanations of any issues and concerns within the home. This is something we very much appreciated and helped us concrete our decision to purchase the home. I would HIGHLY recommend Bob Aldi to anyone needing a home inspection, especially a home with many uncertainties, old or new. Bob also has a great personality, is very easy to talk to, and will explain anything you may not understand. We are first time homebuyers and feel confident that Bob did a great job for us!

I have been actively engaged in a vacation home search in Old Forge and chose Bob initially from a recommendation from our realtor, reviewing his website and reading his testimonials. What struck me about his website was the example of the report he would be generating for me. I own an automotive repair garage and have, for the past five years, been providing our clients with a detailed digital inspection report of their vehicle. Every system is inspected and its condition commented about. It includes pictures and arrows to direct the onlooker's eye to the area of concern. Because I believe the more a client knows about their car in this case, their house, the better equipped they are to consider next steps. The first house he inspected for us did not uncover much that we didn't already know, but his report was paramount in allowing us to walk away from the property without obligation. While the view the property offered was unmatched, it was clear that after reviewing Bob's report, the home would require extensive structural repairs to meet our needs. The second house he inspected for us was only 8 years old and was, in my eyes, perfect in every way. I fully expected the report to reveal no concerns. To my surprise and as a result of Bob's thorough inspection process coupled with his knowledge of current building codes, he uncovered 24 actionable deficiencies with the home. The report itself is 75 pages long and has a separate "action list" link that pulls out all of the deficiencies with the ability to add note to each of the items as well as the ability to select multiple items to send to contractors for the purpose of quoting costs to correct. We are an extremely informed buyer s as a result of Aldi's processes and are grateful to have hired him. We recommend him highly. Thanks so much Bob!
