I’m truly sorry to hear that you feel your experience was not what you hoped for. My goal with every client is to provide the highest level of service, and I’d like to offer additional context for accuracy. We worked together for over a year to find a home that met your needs in location, condition, and budget. During that time, there was an incident where I was treated in an aggressive and verbally hostile manner by a family member of yours during a showing. This was an extremely difficult and uncomfortable situation, and I could have chosen to end our professional relationship then. However, I continued working with you because I genuinely wanted to help you, as a single mother, secure a home for you and your child. The property you purchased had multiple, stronger competing offers, but due to my reputation and long-standing relationships within the real estate community, the listing advocated for your offer to the seller, and the seller selected yours above the other stronger offers. I advocated for you throughout the process, answered your questions promptly at hours of the day, and worked to keep the transaction moving—even when late-stage issues arose that were completely outside of my control. Regarding the key exchange: I did attend your closing in person, congratulated you, and celebrated this milestone with you. After closing, an issue between the lender and title company delayed the funding, which in turn delayed the seller’s ability to release keys. Because of my relationship with the listing agent, I was able to get the seller to agree to release the keys early—before the property had officially funded. At the closing table earlier that morning, I had already explained that I had other appointments with clients that afternoon and if I couldn’t meet you in person at the house to give you the keys, I would provide the lockbox code so you could get the keys without delay, which in you are understood, agreed to and appreciated. That is exactly what I did to ensure you could access your new home as quickly as possible. I work with buyers and sellers in all price ranges and I am committed to providing each with the same level of dedication and professionalism. While I regret that your perception does not reflect the advocacy and effort I provided on your behalf, I stand by the work I did to help you secure the home you wanted in the area, condition, and price range you prioritized.
