My first foray into real estate was tagging along with my dad; he was a real estate agent selling farms in Ohio. Dad made sure I knew my way around the court house showing me how to search down the recorded information. I found it fascination some of the sales were for $1.00 and love and affection. Others were in lieu of payment for military duty. He also taught me about metes and bounds (from the creek to the large boulder on the east side).
