It is unfortunate that Hamzah has chosen to publicly post such a negative and inaccurate review of this transaction. I did help him, his wife and children, and even his in-laws, purchase and sell two separate properties on Oahu. In fact, I have a positive review from both him, when I helped them buy this home, and from his in-laws when they purchased and sold. Sadly, we listed this particular property at the beginning of the pandemic last year, the week of the lock down mandate. Hamzah was unreceptive to my legal obligations to follow local mandate orders of no in-person showings, and became verbally hostile with me until I offered to resign. Due to my friendship with his wife and in-laws, I remained their agent despite this treatment. However, once in-person showings were again permitted, Hamzah lied about recent travel/exposure, risking my safety, the safety of my staff, family, and any prospective buyers. After his wife disclosed this information to me, he even lashed out at her; in which case she had to call me from a locked bathroom to remove her and their young children from an environment she felt unsafe in. Again, risking exposure and my personal safety, to help this family in need. Admist all of this, I was still able to obtain an accepted offer at asking price. I was even able to save the transaction with no credits, by negotiating the inclusion of two mounted tvs (intended for sale) after the home inspection reflected most of the home improvements completed by Hamzah were be done unsafely and not to code. The pandemic further delayed the closing, and the Seller was unable to pay their mortgage or electricity. I personally reinstated their electricity at my cost to keep us in compliance of final inspection requirements. Additionally, I had to arrive an hour prior to all showings and appointments to personally clean and restage this home, then unstage afterwards, to avoid their young children damaging the decor. They did still break some staging items, but I quietly ate that cost. Then the sellers left the property filthy upon move out, where I had to literally hose one of the refrigerators out to remove the grime and sand to meet contract obligations and avoid further cost to the sellers or contractual violations. All in hopes to help his wife and children get to a safer environment. To my understanding, Hamzah later kept all of the proceeds from his wife and has publicly blamed his marital conflicts on me personally, rather than showing remorse or responsibility for his physical and mental spousal abuse. I have since blocked Hamzah on all platforms; but he still called my work and even corporate office numerous times to spread lies about me "stealing appliances and money" in addition to other inaccurate statements which he later retracted / changed his story. I have no idea why he is still fixated over a year later. I have politely ignored all previous negative reviews and false accusations in respect of his family's personal affairs and quietly separated myself from contact with their family; however my silence appears to have only lead him to believe this type of slander is permissable. I hope his family is well and safe, but I would not wish a client like him or a transaction like this upon my worse enemies. It was a blessing they were able to leave that property at a gain after such a short ownership, and no normal Realtor would have tolerated such treatment, let alone, continue to go above and beyond in services after a clear disregard for the health and safety of any other parties during a pandemic, and his continued harassment. This was by far my worse real estate experience in over a decade in the industry. My heart goes out to his family.
