Congratulations on your new home, and thank you for sharing feedback. I’m truly sorry the process felt stressful—especially as first-time buyers. As the listing agent, my role was to represent my seller and follow the purchase contract both parties signed. When the loan documents did not arrive on the scheduled closing date, the seller assessed a per-diem fee as outlined in the contract to cover their own costs. These funds were not retained by me or my team. To address the delay, I set up group communication with your agent and lender, and when discussions grew tense, I worked to de-escalate and keep things professional. Our vendor records confirm the sign and lockbox were removed within three business days of closing, and I’d be happy to provide that documentation if needed. I regret that the experience did not feel smooth and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify the facts.
