Dean Bittles was born and raised in Austin, Texas on Lake Travis. He attended Texas A&M University and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in communication design from Texas State University. To make it possible to pursue his specialized degree, he had to transfer to Texas State but continued to embrace his "Aggie roots" and remains very connected to his Aggie group of friends.
