Denise was born in the Bronx of New York, the oldest of five sisters, her parents later moved the family upstate when she was a child. In her teenage years, she attended high school in Cairo, New York and then moved on to study at Suny New Paltz. Denise received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's of Applied Arts in Painting. She loved the area so much she decided to settle down here in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
