During my 20+ years as a corporate executive, my wife and I spent much of our spare time buying fixer-uppers, doing most of the work ourselves, and selling the homes to others who could enjoy them.  We would generally look for homes with "good bones" and we'd put a "new skin" on them.  We have the ability to see through a home to see its true potential.  We would use this ability to restore these homes so they could be appreciated.
