In 1997, I received my degree in Interpreting for the Deaf. I was working on another degree in Psychology with the goal of becoming a family counselor for those with deaf family members. In 1998, I was offered the position of Marketing Director of Philanthropy in Texas magazine and was soon promoted to Vice President.
