Response from Kim Sinnott on 8/7/2025
To receive a review like this is so disappointing. First, this is not a client of mine nor has he ever been a client. Steve called on April 11, 2023 to see one of my listings (I have all the text messages). I responded right away and showed Steve and his wife Tara the home that same day. Second, I do not represent both buyer and seller due to conflicts of interest. In Texas, if an agent represents both buyer and seller, the agent can no longer give advice and opinion to either party. My clients rely heavily on my advice and opinion so one can see the reason why I have made it a business decision not to represent both parties. For unrepresented buyers like Steve and his wife, I started writing Steve’s offer per their instructions the very next day between set appointments I had that day. Again, I represented the seller, not Steve, but I agreed to write up their offer per their instructions as an unrepresented buyer. Apparently, he felt like I was moving too slowly. I felt awful that he was unhappy with how fast I was moving (even though I had written his offer on paper in hours) and therefore suggested if he was unhappy with how fast I was moving, he may want to hire an agent to represent him. I want all buyers to have the best representation possible! Steve and his wife did end up hiring another agent to put in an offer. A really great agent I have worked with in the past. In the meantime, another buyer had come in with an amazing offer for the seller. We waited for Steve’s offer to come in, yet it wasn’t close to the other offer my seller received. It seems that Steve and his wife were disappointed that they lost out on this amazing home and he’s taking his disappointment out on me as people can see he is the only negative review I have ever received in 15 years. I wish him well and hope he and his wife have eventually found their dream home.
