I first fell in love with the Texas Hill Country when I attended The University of Texas and spent time on the lakes and driving the winding and rolling hills outside of Austin. I always dreamed of moving back to this beautiful area.  

After earning a journalism degree, I worked as a newspaper reporter and high school journalism teacher before serving as communications director for the U.S. Professional Tennis Association for more than 22 years....
