Lee was born and raised in Lufkin, located in the Piney Woods of Deep East Texas. Following in the footsteps of previous family members, Lee enrolled in Texas A&M University. While studying in Aggieland, Lee became a football letterman for two years as a defensive line manager with the Fighting Texas Aggie Football team for four seasons.
