I was lucky enough to grow up in Vail (credit given to my adventurous mother who moved here in 1968). At the time there were less than 100 year-round residents, the streets were unpaved and locals rode their horses on the streets of Vail Village. My family went camping in the wilderness of what is now Beaver Creek, slept under the stars and drank water from the streams. Life was simple and extraordinary, and that same magic still exists today.
