Leon is an Idaho boy born in Jerome. He has Bachelor and Masters Degrees, both in education, retiring from education in 2008. He was also a college adjunct professor for an additional eight years. Leon has coached different types of athletics, especially Jr. high boys and girls basketball during his years as an educator.
