I'm sorry to hear that you feel this way about the experience. Throughout the transaction, I consistently maintained a high level of professionalism and went above and beyond to support the successful sale of the property. This included tasks beyond the typical scope of service, such as cleaning and mopping the kitchen floor after a freezer leak, wiping down door frames and multiple doors left dirty by previous tenants, and making multiple trips to Home Depot for necessary items. I also spoke with the neighbor to have his truck moved from the driveway, where it had been parked for months. When the property first went under contract, I proactively reached out to agents who had scheduled showings to inform them of the contract status, and they could either keep showings or cancel them (courtesy extended to other agents). Agents chose to cancel their showings as I did not "discourage" anyone to not see the house. The lack of competing offers was due to the property's condition, the extent of repairs needed, and pricing—feedback that was shared by other agents. Best interest in the sale of the house was always prioritized, particularly after the first appraisal, which identified repairs necessary to satisfy the buyer’s mortgage. I strongly encouraged prompt action on these repairs, which ultimately helped prevent delays with the second appraisal. The contractor that gave her the repair quote was fair considering the work that needed to be done but Britainy wanted someone more budget-friendly and said she would just google handymen in the area that were cheaper (absolutely her prerogative as realtors offer recommendations but clients chose if they want to use them). I believed we had a good rapport, and I remained professional throughout—providing hands-on support, including checking the handyman’s work and documenting it with photos and videos, and provided communication to ensure we were tracking in the right direction to close. This was a challenging transaction, and given the complexities and a difficult client, the commission was well-earned—especially with a referral fee also paid out. So glad the sale is complete and wish Britainy all the best in her next chapter.
