We received an offer on the 44th day after listing this home. The seller told me that she did not have time nor did she want to meet to go over the offer. I said that we owed it to the buyers and their agent to at least present the offer. Afterall, the home was actively listed and the seller was allowing showings. She agreed to meet with me at 10pm on a Sunday evening. I explained that we had three options. We could reject the offer, counter the offer or accept it. She said that she would counter the offer, but needed to wait until Tuesday for info that she was waiting on for reasons not explained. I brought this info back to the buyers agent. The seller cancelled the listing the next morning because she felt that she could not time the selling of her house and her plans to get married in three weeks. I provided information, alternatives and solutions. Unfortunately, the seller's anxiety caused accusations that were unfounded.
