Sara/Sam fell in love with the 2nd property. Sara/Sam expressed interest to buy the property 2014. I suggested lease to include a "first right of refusal" clause. 48 hours later rental applications were rcvd. & understood from conversations that no credit be searched for Sam. Credit verification obtained for Sara only. Appointment agreed to meet & sign the lease. I called Sara 2-3 times on Sat & Sun to schedule. No response until Sun eve. Sara stated Sam was out of town. Agreed to lease signing on Wed of next week. Tues noon, owner called to say he decided to sell, he needed to move due to financial reasons & emotions the property represents. Called Sara/ Sam ASAP RE: seller's change of plans. Sara/Sam demanded refund of $80 credit verification fee. Seller requested that I ask if the wanted to buy now. They said no. $80 was refunded to Sara. The charges Sara made are knowingly false and deliberate attempt to damage my good reputation of 40+ years in real estate.
