After about 6 years of almost non-stop renters carpets and paint were a necessity. Lowes takes a while but they finance. Ordering locally prior to move out would have been a good idea. Clients were able to order HVAC equipment online with no mark up and use my installer for labor only, saving thousands. This process does take more time however. That move out occurred in October and repairs took us into the cold holidays --- the home was rented mid- January. The condition of paint and carpets after that move out did not allow for good pics (old ones were bad, I'll admit) until repairs were made AND the home was not showing that well in person prior to clean up, paint, and carpets. Many homeowners want immediate turnover but sometimes it's necessary to stop, make improvements, and start fresh with a good set of photos and a higher rent. I certainly wish these ex-clients the best and hope they are having a better experience with their new management company.
