Bought a Townhouse home in 2023 in Daphne, AL.Local knowledgeProcess expertiseResponsivenessNegotiation skillsStephanie McBride listed a townhouse that she owned. (bought/flipped). Since she was a realtor and it was a cash purchase, I thought I'd be ok to buy from her without involving a realtor to represent me. BIG MISTAKE!!!! Months after the purchase,...Response from Stephanie McBride on 2/19/2025
We take integrity very seriously, and this review is not only misleading but completely inaccurate. The townhouse in question was sold nearly two years ago, and all financial obligations, including HOA dues, were properly settled at closing as documented on the official settlement statement. The claim that you were ‘stuck’ with any unpaid dues is false. Additionally, your complaint about the mailbox key is false, as we immediately assisted you by working with the post office to process your re-key request, provided you with the required application, receipt, and confirmation that three new keys would be issued in your name. We have text correspondence with you in regard to this. As for the condition of the unit, we have written communication confirming that it was swept out and that the paint was left per your request. Furthermore, you signed a Hold Harmless Agreement at closing, legally acknowledging that you were accepting the property as-is and releasing any future claims. Given this, along with the fact that all concerns were addressed at the time of sale, your accusations are baseless. It’s unfortunate that despite resolving all concerns, you are now choosing to leave a defamatory review nearly two years later—after reselling the unit for a profit. We stand by our ethics and professionalism and encourage future buyers and sellers to rely on facts, not misleading accusations. Given that this review does not reflect the truth, and the concerns were addressed prior to closing—along with your legal agreement at closing—we respectfully request that you remove it.
