My spouse and I bought a house with Carina and I don't think I'd ever work with her again for the following reasons. She performed extremely poorly when it came to providing accurate advice on the market or help us with negotiations. Her assistance a...

Response from Carina Isentaeva on 5/20/2025

This review was submitted nearly a year after closing. While I was surprised to hear about the experience, I understand that buying a home can be an emotional process, and if the market goes down, buyers may think that they overpaid for the property. I always strive to provide honest guidance based on the sold data, so I wanted to share facts about what happened during the transaction. I provided all relevant comparable sales at the time of the transaction, so the range shared in the review for overpaying $200-400K was not supported by the comparable sales or buyer's appraisal report, that has confirmed the purchase price. After viewing several homes, buyers chose an older but special home. I warned about maintenance, age, and other things related to buying a house at that age vs. having a fully remodeled house. As quoted in the review, I ask, "What do you think?" because I encourage open dialogue during each step to ensure they understand all aspects of the process and feel confident in their decision-making. I remind buyers that it's their responsibility to review disclosures and repairs and decide on the terms of the offer. I shared exactly what the listing agent was communicating with me in writing, and based on that, buyers decided on the terms for the offer on the property. After the offer was accepted, I continued advocating for the buyers. I negotiated a repair for a pipe issue that surfaced later and visited the property multiple times on my own—when the buyers weren’t available—including a late evening visit to ensure the heater was turned on before closing. I treated the property as if it were my own because I take every transaction seriously and act with a deep sense of responsibility toward my clients. While I disagree with several claims made in the review, I respect that real estate is a personal journey. I remain committed to transparency, advocacy, and service—and am proud that the vast majority of my clients have had a very different experience working with me.
