Hi Volodomyr Perehuda, I truly do apologize for any inconveniences that this experience has caused you and I do hope that you were ultimately able to find a home. It is never my intention for any of my clients to have bad experiences as ultimately my goal is to help you secure a lease and look to the future. That being said, I do feel compelled to respond to some of the accusations that you have laid out because I find them to be a shocking attack at my character, which offends me more than anything that can be said about my work as a real estate agent. Volodymyr, you and I are both Ukrainian which makes your claims that I had treated you poorly because of racism and xenophobia absolutely disingenuous. If anything, the fact that you and I were from the same region is the reason why I was able to work with the landlord and be able to make accomodations for you in the first place. We had agreed to meet on Thursday, June 13th for me to collect payment and sign the lease. You ended up not being able to meet on that day prompting a second meet up date on Saturday, June 15th. I was able to work with the landlord to pro-rate the monthly payment for June by 2 days. Once again, you cancelled at the last minute. The final meet up was thus rescheduled for Tuesday, June 18th. For the third time, I was waiting and ready to meet at the agreed upon hour. We had spoken on the phone and you told me your whereabouts and how long it would take. Hours passed and it became clear that you led me astray. To this day, I still do not know if you were actually coming or not. Needless to say, I could not hold this listing any longer as by this point, the landlord had grown impatient and frustrated. Nearly a week had passed since the lease was to begin and you were not present to complete the agreement. The call was ultimately made to move onto other potential tenants given the high demand in the listing. Throughout the experience, I tried to show patience, understanding and a willingness to work with you, evident with the fact that I was able to pro-rate the lease to a later starting date due to the fact you were not able to meet on the agreed upon date. I was met with dishonesty, a lack of respect for my time, and now an assault on my character which I do not appreciate. I genuinely do hope you were able to reflect on how you conducted yourself throughout this process. With that said, I do hope your next experience leasing led to a more positive outcome and I wish you the best in the future.
