Thaddeus was born in Sandusky, Ohio as the baby of seven (7) children. He attended Gilmore Academy Preparatory School before being recruited to play football at Tiffin University. Initially, Thaddeus moved to Colorado in 1990 to enjoy the "300 days of the sunshine" that the state offers. His early work experience was primarily in hospitality, management and outside sales.
