Dana grew up in Petoskey, a resort town on the northern coast of Lake Michigan. She earned her degree in Interior Design from Kendall College of Art and Design. After graduating from Kendall, she moved to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to work with clients designing their dream vacation homes. Many of her projects there has been published in Cabo Living Magazine.

When she transitioned back to the United States, she lived in the Los Angeles area....
