Brooks and his family are residents of Pleasant Prairie.  He is originally from just across the border in Illinois.  He and his wife crossed the “cheddar curtain” in 2008, when they were expecting their first-born child.  They chose Pleasant Prairie because of the small town feel with the conveniences of a larger town (the home prices and taxes were more of a value than the state they came from, too).  Lisa Fabiano sold them their first house.  ...
