Less than a month after moving in, our kitchen flooded from a leaking master shower above it. We immediately expected that this was a new issue, and brought in a plumber and contractor. I appreciate you sharing your concerns, though I'm troubled by several inaccuracies in your review that I feel obligated to correct. First and foremost, I was not the owner of the home in question, nor was I your realtor. You were represented by your own agent who had a professional duty to protect your interests throughout the transaction. The actual seller provided disclosures as required by law, which were available for review by both you and your realtor. Regarding the plumbing issue you've described, this is the first I'm hearing of these problems. If you had concerns about potential undisclosed pre-existing conditions shortly after closing, the appropriate course of action would have been to contact your own realtor immediately, who could have initiated proper communication with the seller through established channels. Additionally, you had a home inspection. Your home inspector would have been a valuable resource to consult regarding any concerns. As a NAR REALTOR®, I uphold strict professional ethics in all transactions. I take pride in my reputation for honesty and transparency, which is reflected in my work with clients throughout my career. But, foremost my personal ethics as a Christian takes precedence. In closing, I wasn’t your Realtor, Inspector nor the Owner of the property so your frustrations are understood but misguided. However, I genuinely sympathize with any difficulties you've experienced with your home. All the best, Carolyn A. Page
