As a realtor, I strive to be responsive, detail oriented, thorough, and helpful through the process with both buyers and sellers. It is unfortunate that Mr. Howard did not feel he received that same service from me as others have. I made sure that through the contract Mr. Howard was protected as a buyer so that he had maximum days for inspection time and was able to receive his escrow deposit back should he decide he did not want to make a purchase after the inspection. During his inspection period he had a home inspection performed and ultimately decided to cancel this contract due to the seller not agreeing to lower the price. He did receive his escrow deposit back. I noticed a disconnect in the professional relationship between Mr. Howard and myself when he asked me to negotiate the seller filing and insurance claim for an old roof so that it could be replaced. I explained that would not be able to happen as there was no incident to be claimed and the seller stated he would not participate even if there was a valid claim to report. Asking for this would have been fraudulent, and I would not participate in such activities no matter the attempt to bully me into doing so. As far as the other claim regarding the vacation rental status, I never claimed to know all the city ordinances as there are many cities in the areas I serve that have zoning laws. It is part of a buyer’s due diligence to review before purchase, as Mr. Howard did. Regarding the claim of virtual tour floor condition, I am a realtor not an inspector. This is a perfect example of why I recommend buyers have an inspection period when purchasing a home where a certified home inspector inspects and provides a report for the property. I would also like to add that aside from grammatical errors, this review is classified incorrectly as a review for rental. Mr. Howard has also claimed to have recorded my facetime virtual tour, which is unlawful to do without my permission. If anyone would like to discuss these claims with me further or let me prove to them how great of a realtor I am, I would be happy to do so.
