David is a Charleston native who grew up on James Island as the youngest of five children. He attended Nativity Catholic School and then James Island High School. While growing up, David was always active with the community and sports as well as his school and church. His dedication to these programs has led him to a number of awards and honors including a Presidential Service Award as well as his Eagle Scout Award.
