Smiling as we crossed Deception Pass Bridge for the first time, nearly 20 years ago, we knew we had found home.  Our little seaside community was exactly where we wanted to raise our two young children.  My husband retired from the USN a few years ago and we are still grateful to call Whidbey Island home.   Living in the magnificent Pacific Northwest is a dream come true, especially for an Arizona desert dweller like myself.
