George Luis Quintana II (known by his friends simply by "G" or "GQ" for his sharp sense of style) was born in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx, where he developed a love for the city’s energy and diversity. GQ studied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at SUNY Oswego and later pursued photography at CUNY LaGuardia.

In his free time, George enjoys thrifting for clothes and woodworking. He is also an avid basketball fan.
