Michael Svenson, born and raised in Sitka, Alaska, grew up in a family involved in the commercial fishing industry. At the young age of 13, he purchased his first permit and at the age of 28, he went on to acquire his own salmon seining operation. Mr. Svenson pursued higher education at Oregon State University, where he obtained a degree in Business Administration with an Entrepreneurship Option.
