Hi Patrick, I’m sorry to hear about your experience and want to clarify a few important details publicly. I am not the agent who represented you in the purchase of the home. One of the licensed agents on our team handled your file directly. Unfortunately, we had no control over the flood that occurred or whether the home inspector may have caused it, as the inspector is a third-party vendor hired for the inspection. We informed you that while the seller’s side is actively investigating the situation with their attorney, the earnest money would remain tied up until there is a resolution. Our brokerage recommended seeking legal counsel only after the seller’s side retained an attorney to pursue action against the inspector. That recommendation was made solely to ensure you had proper legal guidance throughout the situation. We truly wish we could do more to help, but we are not attorneys and cannot handle any legal matters directly. We hope everything is resolved fairly and quickly on your behalf.
