    Dear Elissa I want to address the situation regarding the unexpected lien that was filed against the property during your transaction. Firstly, I want to assure you that I did not have any prior knowledge of this personal lawsuit or the subsequent lien. The lawsuit was related to an entirely different company my client owned, unrelated to the property in question. The title company confirmed that the NEW lien was filed the day before we were notified, and as soon as we were made aware, I immediately informed your agent. Unfortunately, when the lien was filed, it resulted in the freezing of all her assets, leaving her unable to reimburse you as she would have wished. However, to show good faith, she did release the option money, even though the contract did not require her to do so. Regarding the delays mentioned, I want to clarify that they were not due to the new lien but were instead caused by the need for a release that was delayed by the company involved. Despite our daily follow-ups with the company, the process took longer than anticipated—something beyond my or the title company’s control. Once the release was finally received, the title company promptly informed us that we were ready to proceed, which naturally led to the transition of your funds so that the property could close and fund in a timely manner and you would be able to move into your home. I understand the frustration, disappointment, and anger this situation has caused, but I want to emphasize that I did everything within my power to address the issues as quickly and transparently as possible. Unfortunately, the unexpected lien was a tragic and unforeseen development, and I sincerely wish things could have gone differently. I too wanted to see this through closing. As an agent who has worked tireless from the beginning until now - I also will not be reimbursed for my time, efforts and expense.
